Voting Question: Dog clubs in Alabama and Georgia?

I just got a dog from a shelter a couple of days ago and I was wanting to work on socializing her. I have been trying to find some dog clubs around the Anniston, AL area and haven't found anything. She is a mutt so I am not looking for an AKC type club. Just one where people get together with their dogs and have some fun. Any ideas or know who I should ask?
